Happy Birthday me and a Gift for you. ;)

If you don't know about LaBlogotheque you should. ;)

Yeasayer play "2080" and "Tightrope" near Jourdain in Paris, France

"And then the piano, beer, and songs; '2080's lyrics written quickly and messily on a sheet of paper; Lyn relaxing on her hammock; hands, glasses, and bottles clinking on the floor as if in response to the neighbors reprimands. A joyful hippie communion..."

Rinsing out all the best tunes with Hosta from Rub-A-Dub-Dub

"Bow Down To The Duck"
So this is one of the best Audio Blogs that I have come across in a long time! Hosta is really doing a service to the whole Bass community world wide. And he is achieving this by doing nothing more than sharing his love for music with the rest of us. It is sites and people like this that have inspired me. And so I pass this on in the hopes that it may inspire you too. I contacted Hosta to find out what he, and his work was all about.

What is your name?:
Ben Hossle also known as Hosta.

Where are you from?:
Originally from Manchester UK, I am now based in Newcastle UK at university.

What inspired you to start your blog?:
I just thought that at the time there were a lot of blogs about that were all posting the same music, I already had a load of tunes that people didn't know about, I thought that I could make my own site to promote unknown artists and its just kind of gone from there really.

How long have you been doing what you do?:
Its been just longer than a year since I started the Rub A Dub Dub Blog, and already its grown so much. I honestly didn't expect it to get as well known as it is currently and I like to think people respect it for what it is and pick up the odd gem now and then.

What are you currently working on?:
Currently I am working on a few projects. One I can announce is a new Free EP series that we are launching along with Jenai from Ego Thieves based in London UK. That should be dropping soon, and I think it will surprise a lot of people not just in the quality of music but also the vast range of music genre's we are going to cover in the series.

What is next?:
After that I have a few big plans that are probably too fresh to announce just yet but stay locked!
-Hosta.

It will be worth your time to check out all of Hosta's work.

Staying on track with TRAINTRAXX

It is all ways nice to find good talent in your own back yard. Today lets take a moment to learn a little something about TRAINTRAXX.

What is your name?:

TRAINTRAXX

Where are you from?:
I was born and raised in Miami Florida.

What do you do?:

I am a Music Producer and Remixer

How long have you been doing what you do?:
7 years

What are you currently working on?:
I’m working on my first solo Electronic Music LP and producing records for major and up-and-coming artists.

Tell me a little more about yourself?:
Well as you know my name is TRAINTRAXX and I’ve been producing music since graduating from Full Sail, Orlando Florida in 2003. I started my career producing Hip Hop music and there after got involved in producing Electronic Music. In the Hip Hop industry I’ve produced records for major artist “Akinyele” and got a feature track featuring “Pleasure P” from former group Pretty Ricky. I’ve done studio work for producer “Salaam Remi” at Instrument Zoo Studios in 2009. I’ve been blessed to work with good people in the past but my passion has slowly moved onto producing Electronic Music, such as Dubstep and Dance records. Electronic music has been a rebirth for my music and me. It’s been great so far.

Are you looking to work with any independent artist(s) right now?:
Yes, I’m looking to work with fresh new artists, singers, emcees and writers with an electronic state of mind right now.

Any particular artist(s) you would like to work with in the future?:
I really have no particular artist in mind. There are too many good artists out there from major to independent. My goal is work with anyone that likes my vibe. I’m always down for something new and refreshing. There is greatness in everyone and I just want to be a part of it.

What is next for you?:
The future looks good. I got a few things lined up. I’m getting involved in producing music for film and video with a major company that produces a lot of shows on television right now. I am very excited for that. Doing soundtracks has always been something I’ve wanted to get involved with.

I thought that it would be fun, and that it would make me rich, famous and beloved by all. Which was stupid of me. I'm thinking about quitting it.

If you are going to do damage might as well do Permanent Damage.

Permanent Damage Records has a mission statement that is pretty cut and dry. So here it is...

Permanent Damage Records is a label on an intergalactic scale based in Bermuda, because that’s where the best rum is.

Generally the music we’re in to meets two requirements:

1. you can dance to it, and

2. it’s interesting.

(A third, unofficial, requirement that it makes really attractive people take their clothes off was scrapped due to a lengthy lawsuit).

We throw parties, release music, travel the world looking to have fun, and generally use the label to promote the philosophy of the great Carl Jung, which can be summarized by saying, “Shake it, don’t break it!”

We hope you like us.
-Permanent Damage Records.

I would also like to explain Permanent Damage Records to you. But I think this video I found on there site dose a much better job than I can.

Check them out.

Who need a DJ when you've got AntiHero

So. say you're having a house party you are not a promoter or a DJ. What do you do? Well now  you have AntiHero to the rescue. AntiHero with provide you with mixes up to three hours or more if needed just so you don't have to resort to iTunes or sorting CDs. And he does this free of charge! I am going to quote his own add here...

"I have too much free time so I've decided to offer my help for no cost at all, I know there is gonna be some people out there who can't mix tracks but have some good mix ideas so basically if you ever need a mix whether it be for personal use of for a gathering/party of some kind then I'd be more than willing to record you a continuous, flawless set from as little as 2 tracks you think will mix well or a 3 hour mix to get you through your whole party without ever needing to change the music once..

I don't know if this will apply to anyone here but the offer is there if you ever need it. If your interested and want to sort something out then send me an email on antiheromcr@googlemail.com and include Your name, How long you want the mix to last, When the finished set is needed by, Any specific tracks or producers you want- if not just let me know what your into and I'll come up with something.

All tracks mixed are 320kbps, as is the finished product so there is no need to worry about sound quality.

I'll send you a 5 minute preview of you mix 2 days prior to the finishing date to see if you want to make any changes and when everything is recorded and ready to go I will upload it privately to either my soundcloud or another reputable file sharing site i.e rapidshare for you to instantly download within minutes.

Cheers for reading this guys, I understand I have way too much free time on my hands.

I just want to put something fresh back into the scene.

Peace, AntiHero"

I also had a few words with AntiHero and he says, I am Dan Chrapkowski. I am 22 living in Manchester England. I am solely a DJ but I am currently working on some production which I am hoping to get out for some feedback around September. If anyone would like to contact me for anything either get in touch with me threw Soundcloud or e-mail me at AntiHeromcr@gmail.com
